Capacity Building for Public Interest Advocates

New-Pin aims to increase informed input from public-interest groups into company and regulatory decisions and to develop a wider pool of public interest advocates.

In 2016, New-Pin produced a 'Decision Making Framework’ for stakeholder and public engagement on long-term public interest issues.   Sustainability First also commissioned BritainThinks to produce a ‘Research Approaches Overview’ paper to help public interest groups who are involved in research that involves trade-offs.

In July 2017, New-Pin will carry out a ’Tomorrow’s World’ horizon scan examining future energy and water needs from a consumer and citizen point of view asking what this means for individuals, communities and the regional and national infrastructure.’
