Trustee - Treasurer and Fund-Raising Roles

 

Sustainability First is a very small but highly regarded think-tank and charity that promotes practical, sustainable solutions to improve environmental, economic and social wellbeing through thought-leadership - primarily in the areas of energy and water. We plan to also extend our work into the waste arena.

We are an independent and trusted convenor on complex policy and regulatory issues. Formed in 2000 we have a strong track record of bringing together senior decision makers with stakeholders across sectors in multi-party projects.

We are currently looking for two new Trustees; a Treasurer and a Trustee with fund raising experience.   The Treasurer will help guide us on financial issues. We have a Company Secretary and book keeper and so the role of Treasurer is to help oversee the financial work of our Charity, not to be involved in day to day financial management.

The successful applicants will need to be able to attend four Trustee meetings a year (held in central London) and periodic meetings with the Chair/Company Secretary/book keeper/ Director. This is likely to be no more than eight meetings each year.

We are looking for people with a commitment to sustainability and with senior experience of Financial Controls (ie an accountant or similar) or fund raising.
